FAQ
Before you lace up.
Straight answers about rallies, check-in, safety, and your data.
01What is Rally?
Rally is an app for organizing and joining local sport meetups — we call them rallies. Find a nearby run tonight, host padel on Saturday, or hop on a ride that matches your pace. It is built for showing up in person, not another endless group chat.
02Which sports can I rally for?
Running is the heart of Rally, with cycling, padel, football, basketball, tennis, hiking, yoga, swimming, volleyball, gym, and walking alongside it. If you can meet at a pin and move together, it belongs here.
03How do I find sessions near me?
Set a home base and a radius. Nearby public rallies show up on the map and in your list automatically — you do not have to hunt through chats or Instagram stories. Join one that fits your pace, or create your own in a few minutes.
04Can I host my own rally?
Yes. Pick a sport, a meeting pin, a time, and who it is for. You set the details (including pace or difficulty when it matters) and you can update or cancel if plans change. Hosting is meant to take minutes, not a production.
05How does check-in work?
When you arrive at the meeting pin, tap Check In. Rally uses your location at that moment to confirm you are nearby and records that you showed up — so the crew is not guessing who is actually there. Check-in is a proximity helper, not identity verification or a safety guarantee.
06Do you track my location in the background?
No. Location is used only when you ask for it: discovering nearby rallies, dropping a meeting pin, and check-in proximity. We do not continuously track you in the background, and we do not sell location data.
07Does Rally run the workouts?
No. Rally is the software — maps, join flows, check-in, notifications, and moderation tools. Organizers and participants run the real-world session. We are not a sports club, event promoter, or insurer, and we do not supervise in-person activities. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.
08Do I need to be fast or experienced?
No. Rallies are meant to match your pace, not someone else’s highlight reel. Read the listing (sport, time, distance or difficulty when it is set) and join what feels right. Walking, easy runs, and first-timers belong here as much as interval crews.
09Who can use Rally?
Rally is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old — or the age of majority where you live, if that is higher — to create an account and join rallies. Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email magic link. Available on iOS and Android.
10What if someone makes me uncomfortable?
Use Report and Block on a profile or a rally. We review reports and can remove content, cancel rallies, or suspend accounts. Check-in and profiles are not background checks. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (112 in Romania) — do not wait on email support.
11How do I manage my data or delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Download my data, or Settings → Delete account. Notification preferences are under Settings → Notifications. For privacy questions or anything you cannot do in-app, email support@rallyapp.ro. We typically reply within two business days.
12How do I get help?
Email support@rallyapp.ro with the address on your Rally account and a short description of the issue (screenshots help for bugs). We can help with sign-in, rallies, check-in, notifications, privacy requests, and reports. For store downloads, use the App Store or Google Play links on this site when Rally is live in your region.
